Oh yes, that' right. I'm now crave for writing a blog!
It's been a while. The past few months has been busy(of course, extremely happy!)
Now I'm thinking about going somewhere I can chill and relax.

Phuket again? sounds nice. I love Yaonoi and would be happy to go there again.
Melbourne? Oh yes! I love Melbourne! I love all the nice and warm coffee shops and all the lovely craft markets.
London? Naaawwww! it's freezing now. I'm a tropical anmial. I prefer to stay in Asia at the moment. Even the super yummy cheese toast at Borough market can't chage my mind.

Okay back to reality, I know that I can't do that just yet.
My hubby also busy with his work. me too.
Instead I browsed all the pics I took during each trip
and remember the tiny coffee shop in Tokyo where there're lots of cute painted animals on the green wall
It always makes me smile. I hope it will make you gals smile as well : )

ตั้งแต่ทำร้านเข้าเดือนที่ 5 เอ๋พบว่าทุกๆ วันมีโอกาสได้เจอกับคนดี น่ารักๆ
มีโอกาสดีๆ ไปออกร้านงานน่าสนใจ
และมีเรื่องสนุกๆ ผ่านเข้ามาให้ทำเสมอ
รู้สึกเป็น 5 เดือนที่ใช้คำว่า "ขอบคุณ" เปลืองมาก แต่รู้สึกอย่างนั้นทุกครั้งที่พูด
ดังนั้นก็จะพูดอีก 55555 ....
"ขอบคุณ" ทุกคนมากๆ นะคะที่เป็นกำลังใจ และให้การสนับสนุนกันมาตลอด
แม้หลายครั้งหลายหนเอ๋ทำผิดพลาด เวิ่นเว้อไปบ้าง ก็ได้รับการอภัยโทษตลอด : )

Our first workshop ever!

This is just some part of what we (me, Keetee and Ann) did today.

We're trying to summarize and prepare every details in our first ever workshop as much as possible.

Of course, we're far from perfect but that doesn't mean we're not trying to do our best, right? I have to admit, it took every single bit of my energy to deal with this. It looks easy...and it may be easy...but since this is our first time so there're lots of things needed to be done. And we all rewarded ourselves with nice dinner. : )

Hope everything goes well because I want nothing more than u girls enjoy every moment with us. : )

Oh, and new stock from Mark's just arrived this morning.

ดีใจมากๆๆๆๆ ที่สุดในโลกค่ะ ที่การ "สุมหัวเชิงปฎิบัติการงานม่วน" ครั้งแรกของ Little and Big เกิดขึ้นจริงจนได้!! ทั้งที่เราเพิ่งเปิดร้านกันมาได้แค่ 4 เดือนเท่านั้น >.

ด้วยความร่วมมือจากพี่แอน Post me card และสาวฮุ้ง ณ ดอยเต่า
รวมถึงนายทุนผู้หนุนหลัง และสาวๆ แฟนเพจน่ารักหลายๆ ท่าน
ที่ออกปากให้ความช่วยเหลือ คำปรึกษา แนะนำ สนับสนุน ทุกวิถีทางเท่าที่ทำได้
เอ๋ขอบคุณมากๆ จากใจจริงค่ะ ไม่คิดสักนิดว่าจะมีคนเมตตาสาวตาดำๆ อย่างพวกเรามากขนาดนี้ : ))))

สิ่งที่จะสุมกันทำ :
หลังจากสรุปเรื่องวันได้ เราพยายามคิดหัวแตกว่าจะทำอะไรกันดี
แน่ล่ะ...อันดับหนึ่งคือเราจะต้องสนุกกับมาสกิ้งเทป
ปกติเอ๋กับฮุ้งมักจะเอารูป packing therapy มาโพสต์เป็นไอเดียในการ wrapping/packing อยู่แล้ว หรือสาวๆ ที่สั่งของออนไลน์ ก็อาจได้ไอเดียจากหีบห่อที่เราส่งไป เลยอยากทำอะไรสนุกๆ อย่างอื่น
ที่ใช้มาสกิ้งได้เหมือนเคย และได้ออกมาตามนี้ค่ะ : )

1. Pocket Card จากพี่แอน postmecard (1 - 1.30 ชม.)
การ์ดสไตล์หวาน มีฟังก์ชั่นใช้งานเพียบ!
เอ๋อยากเรียกว่า beyond card ที่สุด เพราะเป็น "ยิ่งกว่าการ์ด" จริงๆ
พี่แอนจะขน puncher, paper shaper, stampers (เรา 3 คนจะขนไปให้ใช้กันค่ะ)
และแน่นอน ต้องมีมาสกิ้งเทปงามๆ จาก Little&Big ไปร่วมขบวน
จะปริ๊นภาพโพลารอยด์แบบสดๆ ให้ด้วย
เรียกว่าได้สนุกทั้งเจาะ ทั้งตัด ทั้งแปะ ทั้งปะ ทั้งสแตมป์ ครบเครื่อง!

2. ทำและตกแต่ง Cashbook/To-do list/Planner สไตล์ Little&Big โดยฮุ้ง ณ ดอยเต่า
(1 - 1.5 ชม.)
ใครติดใจ หลงใหล ชื่นชอบ packing/wrapping แนวเก๋ของสาวฮุ้ง
จะรัก session นี้ เพราะฮุ้งขนเทคนิคที่ตัวเองชอบใช้มาแชร์กันแบบไม่ยั้ง
ทั้งการทำ eyelet, การติด-พับซอง, เทคนิคการ match masking tape ในฐานะคนใช้มาอย่างชุ่มโชก ^^

3. Postcard Confetti โดยเอ๋น้อย หอยสังข์ (เอ๋เอง) (30 นาที)
โปสการ์ดแนวคิกขุ-คุกขิ ทำง่ายๆ ใช้เวลาแป๊บเดียวก็คิวววว(cute) ได้ค่ะ
สิ่งนี้จะใช้ paper shaper, masking tapes กระดาษเล็กๆ น่ารักจำนวนมาก
และแน่นอน สแตมป์!

จำนวน : 12 คน
ค่าเข้ากลุ่มสุมหัว : 600 บาท
ราคานี้รวมอุปกรณ์/กาแฟ-ของว่าง/และสิ่งประดิษฐ์ของตนจำนวน 3 ชิ้น

ของที่ว่าก็ยังไม่รู้ชัดว่ามีอะไรบ้าง แต่พิจารณาจากพี่ๆ แต่ละคนแล้ว

คอนเฟิร์มได้ว่าต้องเด็ดดวงอย่างแน่นอน!!!! (จะช้อปก่อนจัดร้าน!)

Little and Big จะส่ง paper doll sticker ไปขายในราคาพิเฉด

และมีของจุกจิกวางปะปนกับของสะสมของฮุ้ง (อยากเห็น!)

งานนี้ Little and Big จะนำรายได้ส่วนหนึ่งจากการออกร้าน

บริจาคให้กับทางมูลนิธิ งานนี้ถือว่าเราทำบุญร่วมกันน้า : )

และเอ๋กับฮุ้งเตรียมโปรฯ น่ารักๆ ส่งเสริมกิจกรรมสานรักครอบครัว

สำหรับคนที่พาลูกหลานไปเดินเล่นในงานด้วย น่าจะตรงกับวันเด็กพอดี

ในงานจะมีทั้งกิจกรรมหลากหลายน่าสนใจทั้งนั้นเลย

มีนิทรรศการให้ความรู้ และคอนเสิร์ตด้วย

เอ๋มีรายละเอียดทั้งหมด รวมถึงตารางกิจกรรมและงานต่างๆ

เดอะเรนโบว์รูม ร่วมกับอาร์ต คอนเน็คชั่น กลุ่มข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรม, พิพิธภัณฑ์การเรียนรู้แห่งชาติมิวเซียมสยาม และชมรมเมืองไทยเข้าใจออทิสซึม จัดการแสดงการจัดวางภาพถ่ายและเสียง "ศิลปะในการสร้างสายรุ้ง" (The Art of Making A Rainbow) เพื่อในสังคมตระหนักว่า เด็กคือเด็ก เขามีสิทธิ์ที่จะได้รับความรัก, ความเข้าใจ, ความช่วยเหลือ และสิทธิขั้นพื้นฐานในการเป็นเด็กเช่นเดียวกับเด็กทั่วไป ดังที่ได้แจ้งมาแล้ว โดยงานจะแบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ

- งานเปิดการแสดงการจัดวาง "ศิลปะในการสร้างสายรุ้ง" วันอังคารที่ 7 มกราคม 2555 เวลา 15.00 น. ณ พิพิธภัณฑ์การเรียนรู้แห่งชาติ มิวเซียมสยาม
โดยชิ้นงานจะจัดแสดงตั้งแต่ วันที่ 3 ถีง 29 มกราคม 2555

- งาน "กิน-เล่น-เป็นเด็ก" ซึ่งเป็นงานลักษณะตลาดกลางแจ้ง วันเสาร์ที่ 7 และอาทิตย์ที่ 8 มกราคม 2555 เวลา 15.00 น. เป็นต้นไป ในงานจะมีการรับบริจาคของเล่นเพื่อนำไปมอบให้เด็กๆ ที่ยังต้องการเล่น แม้จะต้องอยู่ในศูนย์ให้ความช่วยเหลือต่างๆ

ถ้าคุณแม่คนไหน มีของเล่นที่ไม่ได้เล่นแล้ว

Memorable breakfast

I'd been away from the blog for a while.
The past month was hectic. I travelled to Thailand, Japan, back to Thailand, to the north of Thailand, back to Bangkok and then Singapore...within only a month. I can say travelling is tiring...for me.

There're million things to do while there's little time.
Interesting project came by so I have to grab it because this may be the only chance in my life.
Who can say no to what you've been looking for for the whole life, right?
I have to admit that, I forgot to blog completely (and I think no one is waiting for me as well hahaha)

Until last night, my husband asked me about the blog.
I was thinking about my first trip to Japan and the most memorable thing.
The answer is staying at 'ShiraUme' ryokan in Kyoto.
I love the owner and her daughter who treated us super good.
I love their traditional breakfast which is soooo yummy. (and dinner too!)
I love their soft, warm and cozy futon which is very inviting.
I wish I have a chance to go there again.

but now...back to earth.
to lots of work that needed to be done
and dinner for my beloved hubby to be cook.
: )

butterflies

That's right, I said butterflies because there're 3 of them.
They're tough because they flew from Thailand and reached Singapore yesterday, safe and sound.
Another thing to remind me of the lovely lady who sent them.

My studio

I'd never paid attention to my workroom until last week.
When my husband walked inside and said 'you should get some drawers or boxes to keep things, it's getting more and more in your studio"

So I bought a small paper drawers from Muji.
You believe that, if we buy the drawers alone, it'll cost 13 sgd.
but if you buy it with just one pen, you'll pay only 12.50 sgd!!
(for drawers and pen!)

Kawaii Japanese sweets.

Today we had lunch at Ma Maison, Mandarin Gallery.
We love this katsu restaurant because the vibe is just right, not too packed and rarely have to queue.

After the meal we had lucky draw and got 2 Japanese sweets of our choice.
I choosed Japan yogurt with a tiny wooden spoon....sooo kawaii!
and some kind of sweet which has rabbit and squirrel printed on the package.
It reminds me of Keetee. If she were here, I'll definitely give it to her!

Oh, about the taste. The yogurt tasted like an icing which coated on top of old style cake. So we had just few spoons. (how come they call it yogurt?). For me, the most important thing is not about the taste, but about the feeling of getting something kawaii and enjoy the moment of admiring it. : )

Six senses Yaonoi, Phuket.

It was one of the most momorable trip of the year.
We vegged out at Six Senses Yaonoi island, Phuket.
We slept a lot, ate a lot of Thai food, seafood and enjoyed quality time together.
I can say the place is super chill and relax, staffs are well trained and took great care of us. If you're looking for a romantic place for any anniversay,
I highly recommended this place.

Oh, how I hate coming back to earth!

Just came back from shopping at a nearby supermarket.
Normally I've never checked the receipt.
I know, I know, it's the bad habit but I couldn't help it really.
Mainly is because I always in a rush. The queue here is always loooooong.
if you already paid, please get out of the way with your things,
so next person can proceed to the cashier and go home cooking as well.

But today I did. The good thing of checking receipt was...
I found out that I got lots of discounts!
For example, my new trolley cost only 9.53 SGD while the price on the shelf shown 19.90 SGD. Gosh! that's a lot!
I got discount without knowing it. How lucky I am!!!!

Okay, let's get back to the point, I just love the way they have discount for pp who bring your own bag.
Even it's just a small amount but it implies that more and more people are getting concern about this issue.

Last time I went back to Thailand. I got discount for bringing my own bag to the supermarket as well. Even it's only 1 baht.
Keep going Thailand. (even it's a Japanese supermarket)

Gray day...

This morning when I was about to get out of home.
I had my bag ready, already wore my shoes.
All of a sudden, the sky turned gray.
What happened afterward was raining cats and dogs.

I love rain when I stayed at home.
I love the sound of it (if it's not much heavy or a thunderstorm)
I love the feeling of being alone in the house when it's rain, listening to my favourite music.(even sometimes is hard to hear)
I love rain...even it makes me soaked all over.
I love rain...even when it poured down on the day that I hadn't carried any umbrealla around.
I still love rain...even I have to take a cab instead of public transportation.
There're many reason to love rain, but many people tends to hate them for whatever reasons.
Do you love rain?

Pe Nok, the lovely lady who created these unique needle cushions is the owner of 'Hand Room',
a small-cozy-shop located in the same area as Paper Spoon and Communista.
Mainly they have handmade baby clothes and vintage toys on sale.

Haven't cycled for a loooooong long time.
One reason is because I don't own any bike : (
So last trip to Chiang Mai was the perfect fat chance to revive my rusty cycle skill. Because the dormtel I stayed had lend this cool yellow bike for free. Yeah!!

I cycled around Nimman road. Got out to the main road once just to look for my most favorite 'Tao Huay' (beancurd in sweet ginger soup, topped with crunchy fried dough) and almost got roadkill!....wiiiiwwww!

Anyway, it was an enormously happy trip. It broaded my mind and experience...A LOT! I'd met loads of very nice people. Visited many super cute shops where passion in every single piece of their work is obviously shown.

And the most important thing is...I'm going to share those experience with you all in my blog and also in the zine that I'm now making it with Keetee, who's the most yummy/cuty/lovely/funny/etc host (Mr.Bear, u too!). Thanks so much Keetee, you're superb!

Life seems to be busy again after a looooooong holiday.
I have work to finish before going back Thailand next week.
While meet up with friends is necessary because I love to hee hee.

Cooking and baking with one of my friend are now added to 'to-do' list once or twice a month. We had so much fun baking brownie yesterday. To my surprise, my friend's husband love our brownie so much. So he decided to buy her a new oven just because of it! I'm so happy to hear this since my friend told me that she think she's falling in love with baking after whisking sugar and eggs yesterday. So getting new oven means good news, so she can bake as much as brownies, cookies, cupcake and etc as possible. : )

Looking back, it's hard to belive that I left melbourne only a week away,
it seems like months!!
First few days we stayed around Elwood which has lovely neighborhood.
We had so much fun just jalan jalan around. Took pictures of postbox and flowers from lovely home with beautiful garden in front.

Some of my friends said this is quite normal. But I love this kind of postbox.
We dont' have it in Thailand. Even in Singapore is boring postbox down the building that looks the same. So hope you enjoy it as much as I do : )

Oh! I'm sooo happy. Happy with this lovely town, Melbourne.
Happy with yummy food, good cafes, chocolate and etc.
Happy with lovely people especially the few whom I met, talked to and hugged.

ร้านกาแฟแสนน่ารัก ที่มีเจ้าของน่ารักกว่าขึ้นมาได้ เลยอยากเอามาบอกต่อ
เผื่อใครผ่านไปเชียงใหม่ จะได้แวะไปหยิบฉวยช่วงเวลาดีๆ กัน : )

ร้านของพี่แป้มเป็นบ้านไม้ 2 ชั้น ตั้งอยู่ในรั้วบ้านเดียวกับ communista
นอกจากจะบริการเสิร์ฟกาแฟ - ชา (แนะนำชาเย็นใส่นมแบบไทย สดชื่นมากก)
- ขนมโฮมเมดที่เสริ์ฟมาบนจานน่ารักจัดอย่างบรรจง พร้อมรอยยิ้มและเสียงหัวเราะแล้ว
ยังมีตู้ขนาดยักษ์ขายของกระจุกกระจิกทั้งหลาย ที่มองชิ้นไหนก็บอกว่า "น่าร๊ากก"
ของพวกนี้เป็นของสะสมของพี่แป้มเอง ของที่พี่แป้มออกแบบ หรือเป็นของแฮนด์เมด
จากคนที่รู้จักรักใคร่กัน
นอกจากจะนั่งทานในร้านได้แล้ว ยังเลือกนั่งกลางลานบ้านได้ด้วยจ้ะ

สิ่งสำคัญที่ทำให้ลูกค้าติดใจจนอยากกลับไปทุกครั้งที่มีโอกาส

After reading Keetee's blog yesterday. It reminds me of 'paper spoon',
the cute coffee shop in Chiang Mai which I'm so in love.
So I want to post some info and photos of the shop,
just in case you have plan to go Chiang Mai then you can visit this cute shop which the owner is much more cute!

'paper spoon' serves you hot/cold coffee, tea (I recommended Thai iced tea, sooo refreshing!),
homemade bakery served in a lovingly arranged on vintage plate together with smiles and laughing from P'Pam (the owner).
You can enjoy yourself in the shop or under big umbreall in the courtyard as you please.

One corner of the shop housed big cupboard where loads of P'Pam's collectibles,
handmade items by herself and friends and also vintage stuffs which you can shop.
(yeah I got loads when I was there)

Little things in 'paper spoon' always make me smile.
You can see it in almost every corner of the shop.
The one I like most is 'pocketed curtain'. What a creative idea to stael!! hee hee hee.

วันนี้ที่นี่เป็นวันหยุด good friday ค่ะ เป็น good friday ครั้งที่ 2 ของเอ๋ในสิงคโปร์แล้ว(!)
คือตัวเอ๋เองไม่ได้รู้เรื่องเทศกาลนี้มากมาย
แต่ก็รู้สึกดีใจเพราะทำให้เจ้าบูได้มีวันหยุดเพิ่มอีก 1 วัน

ปกติเวลาได้หยุด เรามักจะวางแผนทำโน่น ทำนี่ อยากจะออกไปร้านโน้นร้านนี้
นั่งชิวร้านกาแฟน่ารัก ... แต่ไปทีไรไม่ค่อยได้ชิว ดีไม่ดีกลับมาเหนื่อยกว่าเดิม (ฮ่าๆ)
แต่ก็มีความสุขที่ได้ไปเนาะ

วันนี้เราสองคนตั้งใจจะไม่ไปไหน กะนอนอืดเป็นผัก
เลย "ขุด" ตู้เย็นหาของกินที่ยังเหลืออยู่ออกมาทานกัน

มื้อเช้าได้ raw ham ซึ่งเป็นสโมคเบคอนหั่นบางมาก เหลือมาจากสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว
ทานกับเมลอนหวานหอมมากกกก! เป็นมื้อเช้าแสนอร่อยกับกาแฟ
มื้อกลางวันทานแกงกะหรี่ญี่ปุ่น ที่แช่แข็งมาจาก 2 สัปดาห์ที่แล้ว
ส่วนมื้อเย็นว่าจะทานซุปหัวหอมที่แช่แข็งในฟรีสเซอร์มา 1 สัปดาห์กับเนื้อสเต็ก

นอกจากนั้นเอ๋ยังปัดฝุ่นเครื่องปั่นมือถือ
ทำ "เค้กกล้วยหอม" เป็นครั้งแรกหลังจากไม่ได้ทำมานานเป็นปี
ตอนแรกหวั่นใจกลัวว่าเค้กจะออกมาไม่ดี เพราะแบทเทอร์เหลวเชียว
แต่สุดท้ายกลับออกมานุ่ม หอม เกินคาดหมาย
ลูกมือ(เจ้าบู)ที่ช่วยคั่วอัลมอนด์ให้ถึงกับยิ้มดีใจ
สรุปว่าเป็นวันหยุดที่ไม่เหนื่อย และมีความสุขมากมายไม่แพ้การออกไปข้างนอกเลย

พรุ่่งนี้ที่กรุงเทพฯก็เป็นวันหยุดสุดสัปดาห์แล้ว
ใครขี้เกียจออกไปนอกบ้าน ก็ลอง "ขุด" หาของกินในตู้เย็นมาดัดแปลงกัน
ทำให้วันหยุดง่ายๆ กลายเป็นวันหยุดสุดแสน happy โดยไม่ต้องออกนอกบ้านด้วยค่ะ : )

Happy Easter!!
This is the second Good Friday for me and the boo in Singapore.
Time flies, hard to believe that I've been here for a year!

We usually go out on weekend. Finding yummy things to eat
or just chilling out at some cafes.
But for the city that only few cafes are good enough to chill,
and those few are always packed with people,
we always ended up coming home with less energy (but of course, happy to do so)

So today we decided to veg out at home.
Trying to do nothing. "dig out" left over food in the fridge
for breakfast lunch and dinner.
And after turn my back on baking for a year(or more).
Today I baked 'banana cake' with the helper, boo,who roasted whole bag of almonds
to spring on top of it. Even the batter is quite watery but the result turned out okay
both for the taste and texture. I can say it's the softest banana cake I've ever baked!
What a simple but happy holiday for both of us. : )

และถ้าใครเบื่อหน่ายความเรียบง่ายของกระปุกแยมที่ลอกฉลากทิ้งแล้ว

ก็สามารถดัดแปลงทำอะไรหลายๆ อย่างกับมันได้

เช่น "เอาผ้ามาหุ้มฝา" เปลี่ยนเป็นลายให้เก๋ถูกใจ

"เอาเทปมาพัน" สีสันจะได้จี๊ดจ๊าด

หรือวันนี้เอ๋ reuse มันให้กลายเป็นกระปุกน้ำตาล

ด้วยการเอา "สติ๊กเกอร์รูปแมว" จากร้าน kit-bit-s มาแปะ

พอหยิบมาใช้ทีไรก็ทำให้เรายิ้มและรู้สึก "มี้อาวววว" ได้ทุกครั้งไป

ใครจะดัดแปลงไปปิดซองก็ได้ยู้!

ขอสวัสดีปีใหม่ไทยล่วงหน้าค่ะ
เพราะแน่ใจว่าหลายๆ คนคงมีแผนการเดินทางท่องเที่ยว
หรือแผนสังสรรค์กับเพื่อนในช่วงสัปดาห์หยุดยาวนี้กันแล้วแน่เลย
ก้อขอให้เที่ยวกันอย่างสนุกสนาน และมีสติ ระมัดระวังความปลอดภัย
ไม่ดื่มสุราหากต้องขับรถนะคะ : )

แต่สำหรับใครที่ไม่ได้ไปไหน อาจใช้เวลาว่างช่วงนี้ไปกับ "การจัดห้อง/บ้าน"
เพื่อเตรียมพร้อมเริ่มต้นการทำงานใหม่ ท่ามกลางสภาพแวดล้อมที่เป็นระเบียบ (และสะอาด 555)
เหมือนที่คนจีนเค้าใช้วันปีใหม่ในการทำความสะอาดทุกซอกทุกมุมของบ้านนั่นแหละค่ะ

ก็เลยเอานิตยสารมากองเป็นหมวดคิดว่าเข้าท่าดี แต่สุดท้ายก็รก(จนได้)
สุดท้ายเลยจับยัดใส่กล่องแฟ้มของ ikea ที่เพิ่งไปช้อปๆ มา
ทำให้ดูเป็นระเบียบขึ้นแยะ แถมลายก็น่ารักอีกด้วยค่ะ

ก็มักมีเหตุให้มาฮ่องกงในช่วงเวลาเดียวกัน พวกเราเลยนัดรวมกลุ่มกินติ่มซำตอนบ่ายวันอาทิตย์

แนะนำ "นมตุ๋นพร้อมฟิล์มเคลือบ 2 ชั้น" กับ "นมตุ๋นช็อคโกแลต"
เพราะอร่อยมากจนลืมไม่ลง แต่ที่ฮาก็คือ ร้านนี้ "ห้ามสั่งมาแชร์" เป็นอันขาด

เมื่อวานเป็นอีกวันที่แอบอู้ 55555
ไม่รู้ทำไม เวลาเปลี่ยนที่ทำงาน หรือเริ่มทำงานชิ้นใหม่
อารมณ์นึงจะเกิดขึ้นทันทีเลยคือ "อู้"

เมื่อวานเอ๋ไปอู้ที่ร้าน Jusco 10 เหรียญ (อีกแล้ว มาทีไรไปทุกที)
เพราะคิดว่าราคาถูกกว่าคือประมาณ 40 บาท/ชิ้น
ได้ของมามากมาย ปิดท้ายด้วยการแวะ supermarket ซื้อเสบียงหอบตุเรงๆ กลับบ้าน

เวลาซื้อของที่ร้านไหนก็ตามในฮ่องกง พนักงานจะถามว่า "เอาถุงมั้ยคะ"
(แน่ล่ะ เป็นภาษาจีน แต่เราเดาเอาว่าใช่)
และส่วนใหญ่สาวๆ ที่ช้อปปิ้งมักมีถุงช้อปฯ ติดไม้ติดมือกันมาเสียส่วนใหญ่
ไม่เห็นคนถือถุงพลาสติกออกจากซูเปอร์สักเท่าไหร่นะ

ส่วนที่สิงคโปร์ เวลาซื้อของเราพยายามบอกว่า "ไม่เอาถุงจ้ะ"
แต่อานตี้พนักงานมักยัดเยียดอ่ะ ทำนองว่า โอยของมันหนัก ใส่ถุงไปเหอะ ใส่ 2 ถุงซ้อนเลย
^^" ช่างเป็นวัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่างกันเหลือเกิน
เก็บถุงเท่าไหร่ก็ล้นระเบิด ใช้ไม่เคยทัน
แต่เค้าจะดีอย่างตรงที่จะมีพนักงานมาเก็บขยะ recycle หน้าประตูบ้าน ศุกร์เว้นศุกร์
พร้อมวางถุงพลาสติกใบเบิ้มให้ใส่ของมาวางคราวหน้าด้วย รอบคอบจริงๆ

ที่เมืองไทยก็เริ่มใช้ถุงช้อปปิ้งกันเยอะขึ้นเรื่อยๆ
เอ๋มองว่ามันเป็นเรื่องดี ที่ได้จากซูเปอร์ก็เอามาเป็นถุงขยะต่อ
แต่หลักๆ คือต้องติดนิสัยเอาถุงช้อปปิ้งออกจากบ้านด้วย
เพราะเราไม่รู้ว่าจะซื้ออะไร เมื่อไหร่ ที่ไหน ยังไง เดี๋ยวนี้เอ๋ติดนะ ทอสับอาจลืมแต่ถุงช้อปปิ้งไม่ลืม
ดังนั้นหลักๆ เลยต้องพับได้เล็กและบางมาก เหมือนพกแล้วไม่รู้สึกว่าพก
แต่พอจะใช้ก็ต้องทนทาน

เมื่อวานตอนเดินผ่านตลาด เจอลูกหม่อน หรือมัลเบอร์รี?
เห็นแล้วทำให้นึกถึงตอนเด็กๆ สมัยอยู่กับยาย
เวลาผ่านหน้าบ้านเพื่อนบ้านที่เค้าปลูกหม่อนไว้แล้วมักจะอยากกิน (ใช่! ของคนอื่น ฮิๆ)
เพราะบ้านเราไม่มีปลูกนี่นา แล้วนานนนนๆ ที เจ้าของบ้านจะยอมให้กินได้
ถึงเจ้าหม่อนกะบะนี้จะเปรี้ยวจี๊ด ไม่ได้หวานเจี๊ยบเหมือนหม่อนข้างบ้าน
แต่ก็ทำให้ระลึกถึงความทรงจำดีๆ ในสมัยเด็กขึ้นมาได้บ้าง และคิดถึงยายจัง

เมื่อวานตอนไปด้อมๆ มองๆ ร้านขนมปังเป็นอาหารเช้า
ก็ไปเจ๊อะกับเจ้า "ขนมปังฮ็อกไกโด" ที่ขนาดแผ่นกำลังดี (มากๆ)
คือครึ่งหนึ่งของปกติ และหนานุ่มพองับแล้วอึ๋มมมม...
เค้าโฆดสะนาว่าขนมปัง 5 แผ่นเล็กๆ นี้ทำจากนมฮ็อกไกโด 1 แก้ว
จริงๆ แล้วเราก็ค่อนข้างชอบนมจากเมืองนี้พอสมควร
ถ้ามีโอกาสวาสนาแล้วอยากไปดูฟาร์มวัวจัง ว่าเค้าเลี้ยงวัวยังไง หรือพันธุ์ไหน
ต้องนวดตัว ให้กินอาหารออร์กานิกหรือเปล่า นมที่ได้ถึงอึ๋มอั๋มหอมมันแบบนี้
แต่ความฝันอันสูงสุดคือการได้กินนมแบบสดๆ เห็นแม่วัวดุ๊กดิ๊กอยู่ตรงหน้า....
ว่าแล้วก็ตื่นดีกว่าเรา

ฉับพลันสายตาก็ไปเจ๊อะกับเจ้านี่
คือแยมสตรอเบอรี่กับ "butter cream" (ไม่ใช่เนย และไม่ใช่มาการีน มันคือ...?!?!)
เวลาใช้แค่หักมันเข้าหากัน ก็จะได้ไหลปรู๊ดดด รวมกันลงมาบนหน้าขนมปังให้
เป็นอีก 1 รูปแบบชีวิตที่แสนจะสะดวกสบาย
ส่วนรสชาติ? กล้อมแกล้มพอถูไถ...
เพราะสุดท้ายแล้ว เนยแท้และแยมกระปุกก็อร่อยกว่าอยู่ดี
แม้เนยจะเปื้อนมือเปื้อนไม้ และต้องล้างมีดเพิ่มขึ้นก็ตาม
ชีวิตที่สะดวกเกินไป ทำให้เราไม่ค่อยมีเวลาได้ละเมียดกับมันเท่าไหร่เนาะ : )

ชีวิตโอชินเดือนนี้ ย้ายมาปักหลักอยู่ที่ฮ่องกงค่ะ
ย้ายจากประเทศที่ฝนตกชุก อากาศชื้นจัด แต่ภูมิทัศน์โปร่งโล่งสบายตา
มาสู่ประเทศที่่อากาศเย็นกำลังดี อาหารอร่อย เสียแต่มีหมอกพิษและแออัดยัดเยียด
...ประเทศไหนๆ ก็สู้ไทยไม่ได้ ร้อน+ชื้น+ควันพิษ แต่อยู่แล้วมีความสุข อาหารก็อร่อย : )

เริ่มต้นทริปด้วยการอู้ อู้ อู้
ออกไปเดินเล่นรอบๆ Causweay Bay ใกล้ที่พัก
เดินดุ๊กๆ ไปกิน Hokkaido Dairy Farm เป็นอาหารเช้า
คิดถึง Oatmeal with Hokkaido milk และขนมปังหนานุ่มจุ่มไข่จับใจ
อีกอย่างเซ็ตคุ้มค่าจริงๆ คือ 21 HKD มีอาหารเช้าครบครัน อิ่มไปจนถึงบ่าย

จากนั้นออกเดินตระเวณเยี่ยมร้านของแต่งบ้านจีนจ๋า GOD
ลัดเลาะไปร้านหนังสือ book club ที่ SOGO
กลับมา Pageone แล้วตรงดิ่งลง City Super ที่ TimeSquare
ได้ข้อคิดอย่างนึง...ผู้คนที่นี่ใช้ชีวิต "แนวดิ่ง" กันน่าดู

อย่างด้านล่างเป็นร้าน Esprit ชั้น 2 คือ Muji ชั้น 3 คือ Uniqlo (ไม่ใช่ห้างด้วยนะ)
หรือ service apartment ที่เราอยู่...
ชั้น 1 เป็นร้านนาฬิกาหรู ชั้น 2 เป็น Mcdonald's ชั้น 3 เป็น Ootoya ส่วน aprtment อยู่ชั้น 7-12
มาฮ่องกงหลายครั้ง แต่ไม่เคยสังเกตสังกาอะไรเท่าครั้งนี้
แต่ถ้าเลือกได้ อยากมีชีวิตแนวราบ แบบปกติธรรมดามากกว่า
ไม่ต้องแหงนหน้าขึ้นไปแล้วเห็นตึกสูงใหญ่ มีผ้าแขวนตากเป็นทิวทัศน์ แทนท้องฟ้าสีคราม
สาธู้...

คงจะใช้เวลาอีกหลายสัปดาห์ที่เหลืออยู่ เดินดุ๊กๆ ไปสำรวจละแวกอื่นบ้าง
แล้วจะกลับมารายงานความสนุกบ้าง ไม่สนุกบ้างให้ฟัง

นี่เป็นอีกหนึ่งไอเท็มโปรดที่ชอบมากจากตลาด Borough Market
ซึ่งทำให้ชีวิต "ไวขึ้น" สมชื่อจริงๆ เพราะมันคือช็อคโกแลตที่
เทใส่ถ้วยกระดาษพร้อมช้อนไม้ พร้อมสำหรับการคนให้ละลายในนม
แบบนี้...

เวลาจะใช้สะดวกที่สุด แค่เอานมใส่หม้อตั้งไฟ
พอเริ่มอุ่นก็เอาเจ้านี่จิ้มจึ้กลงไปคนๆๆ ให้ละลายจนหมด
แล้วก็จะได้ช็อคโกแลตอุ่นกรุ่นสำหรับดื่มก่อนนอน ภายในเวลา "3 นาที" เท่านั้น เย้วววว : )

เชื่อว่าสาวกที่รักการแต่งบ้านหลายคน เห็นสินค้าจากร้าน 'Communista' ปุ๊บคงอยากดั้นด้นมาที่ร้านให้จงได้สักครั้งในชีวิต (ขนาดนั้น!) ก็ดูสีสันที่แสนจะสดใส ความน่ารัก และสไตล์ที่เหมือนเป็นฝีมือของเด็ก ไม่ว่าจะจับไปวาง ไปแขวน ไปห้อยไว้ตรงไหน ก็ทำให้มุมนั้นสดใสขึ้นทันตา

เอ๋รู้สึกอย่างนั้นจริงๆ จำได้ว่าเห็นโมบายของ Communista ครั้งแรกที่ร้าน "เล่า" แต่ไม่รู้ว่าเป็นของใคร พออ่านนิตยสารเล่มนึงรู้ ดังนั้นก่อนไปเชียงใหม่ก็เลยเมลหาทางร้านว่าจะขอเข้าไปดูของที่ร้าน แต่ก็เงียบห๊ายยย! สรุปว่าก็เลยชวดไป

แต่เหมือนโชคชะตาฟ้าไม่ปิดกั้น เพราะสวรรค์ดลบันดาลให้เอ๋รู้จักกับ Keetee เจ้าของร้านเสื้อ kit-bit-s ที่เชียงใหม่ซึ่งรู้จักกับพี่ๆ ที่ communista สนิทสนมจนถึงขั้นนึงแล้ว keetee ก็หลวมตัวพาไปจนได้ และไปถึงที่จริงก็ไม่ผิดหวังค่ะ เพราะพื้นที่ร้านแค่ประมาณ 3x4 เมตรมีแต่ของน่าร๊ากกกอัดแน่นเต็มไปหมด จนเกิดอาการ "ละลานตา" เหมือนโดนคาถา ณ จังงังขึ้นมาก็ว่าได้ นั่นก็ลายจุด นี่ก็สีแจ้ด ถูกใจไปซะหมด

Communista เป็นงานฝีมือที่ได้รับการออกแบบอย่างน่ารัก แล้วนำไปแจกจ่ายให้ชาวเขาทำกัน ดังนั้นของแต่ละชิ้นจะเป็นแฮนด์เมดที่ unique มาก คืออาจจะซ้ำแบบแต่ลายไม่ซ้ำ เพราะใช้ผ้าคนละลาย ใช้ด้ายคนละสี

ของที่ว่ามีทั้งหมอน กระเป๋า เสื้อผ้า แต่ที่เด่นๆ ก็คือพวงกุญแจ? หรือที่ห้อยประตูสีสันสดใส เห็นแล้วรู้เลยว่าเป็นผลงานของ Communista แน่ ดังนั้นนอกจากเราจะภูมิใจที่ได้ของน่ารักๆ มาใช้แล้ว ยังภูมิใจที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการกระจายรายได้ให้ชาวเขาด้วยนะ เหมาะจะเอามาแจกปีใหม่หรือให้ชาวต่างประเทศมาก แต่ถ้าใครอยากไปก็ต้องนัดล่วงหน้าก่อนนะคะ สนใจเมลหรือทิ้งอีเมลไว้ได้ แล้วเอ๋จะเมลเบอร์กลับไปค่ะ : )

วาเลนไทน์ที่ผ่านมา นอกจากเจ้าบูจะลงมือ "ทำอาหาร" ให้ทานแบบฟูลคอร์ส
(แอบมี appitizer ก่อนด้วยนะ 555) มิหนำซ้ำยังปิดท้ายด้วย "ช็อคโกแลต"
ที่บรรจงไปเลือกหน้าตู้อยู่เป็นนาน (นึกสภาพชายร่างใหญ่ ยืนหน้าตู้ช็อคฯ ในวันวาเลนไทน์)
แล้วก็ได้เจ้ากล่องนี้มาแบ่งกันทาน

ด้วยความอยากเก็บกล่องเป็นที่ระลึก แต่ไม่อยากเป็นที่เป็นที่ระรก
เลยคิดว่าจะหาอรรถประโยชน์จากมันซะหน่อย โดยเฉพาะเห็นเป็นช่องๆ อยู่แล้วยิ่งเข้าท่า
จับ "คัฟฟ์ลิงก์" ใส่ซะเลย มี 6 คู่พอดิบพอดีซะด้วย!

I love this market! I can say that it's my most favourite market in London!!
If I can extended my stay, will definitely visit this market again.
There's a flower market every Sunday morning. I'm so lucky that went there on Sunday.
The sound of stalls' owner calling for customers filled the chill air while I jalan jalan(my singapore's friend said it means strolling : ) with the boo between rolls of colorful flowers...oh that's heaven.

There're few cute little cafe at the front before entered the market.
We started the day with salt beef sandwich and warm coffee at one of them.
All the shops there are so cute! the owners are very friendly. They allowed me to take photos as much as I want to with a smile : )

Wish I have a chance to go back there again!

Today I'd tried and tried to convince myself working but failed completely...Ouch! : (
So I blamed the sky which dark and covered with storm cloud above.
Well, at least one task was done, only one more left to do. I still have the whole night working on it : X

Finally, after 9 months of living in Sin city, we'd filled 2 shelves!!!
Books in the lower shelf belong to Boo. While the upper shelf are mine.
Even you can't judge the whole book by its cover, but at least you can guess its type.
Fantasy and suspense thriller always use black color, while romance and chic lit use bright color. Just like our character I think Ohhh la la....

Kaya Pao

Last Saturday I had a severe sorethroat. once got up I told the Boo to bring me to see the doctor. That was the very first experience with doctor for me in Singapore.

After the doc said my throat inflammed and my Tonsil was a bit swollen(how come? I don't know), he gave me lots of medicine.

On the way back home, we found what looks like and oldie Pao shop which has lot of Paos' trays stacked high up to the ceiling. Its aroma was sooo good. So we decided to pick one each of the choice to taste at home which are pandan kaya paste, Chasui(roasted red pork), mince pork and black bean paste.

Of course, my most favourite is pandan kaya paste! (I ate 2/3 of it myself haha)

The super soft and warm pao melted with the the paste perfectly.

Good for someone who's a sorethroat like me : )

Noticed that they also served Kopi.

So I will definitely pop by again later just to sit back and sip kopi-c together with my favourite pandan kaya paste pao.

Loads of work always makes me speechless. It consumes most of my energy and time. Making me a wracked doll at late ngiht. Sometimes I even stop and ask myself 'do I really have to work this hard?'.

But what can I do? we have to work for a living, aren't we? At least I'm lucky that having the job I love(thanks to Buddha and luck). Have life the way I want it to be. Have the most lovely&care hub-Boo. Have friends that make my life valuable and happy.

Morning Market

I love going to fresh market in the morning quite a lot. To get my kopi-c from nearby coffee stall, 2 soymilk, lunch and light snack. Then hunt for fresh veggie among A-Mas and aunties who wear real vintage top and dress(wow!). Some are sooo lovely, I really want to ask where she got that dress from 8:-)

Homemade beef stew with love...♥

Normally we spend Sundays exploring new places, trying out new food or hanging out for a few hours at the tea house. But yesterday, we had a tough mission which was trailing 14 km at MacRitchie in 2.30 hr (sometimes I wonder HOW I did that!), and hunting for my new coat which turned out to be my “new coats” (Plural!). We ended the day by shopping 3 full bags worth of groceries at Paragon. So today we decided to stay home and veg out, trying to slow the pace of our life as much as possible since the past week was like rollercoaster for both of us.

After our lunch at the nearby hawkers’ center, we spent the afternoon cooking ‘Beef Stew’ while listening to the latest album from Maroon 5.

Ingredients

Me, the helper, chopped 5 celeries, 5 carrots (into 2 size; small dice and big chunk), 2 onions (enough to make me cry), and 1 pack of baby Portobello mushrooms.

While the boo, the big chef, coated 600 g. of grain fed beef cubes with flour, seared in normal olive oil and set them aside to rest.

Fried all the veg that I chopped with bacon bits and extra knob of butter, added 1 small can of double concentrate Italian tomato paste, dropped in a bunch of Bouquet Garni, few Bay Leaves, a glass of red wine, and half a litre of beef stock. We flavored the mix with plenty of Worcestershire sauce and ground black peppers.

The whole package was heated until simmering then put in casserole dish with the beef that we had originally set aside and thrown into the oven for 3 hrs at around 180 Celsius. We checked our package every 45 minutes to make sure that it is treated with the tender loving care.

We had such a happy dinner together. We had our stew with an Asian touch by spooning it over hot jasmine rice. The stew was absolutely yummy. Beef cubes were falling apart and melt in the mouth, the taste was soooo good, just like the way proper stew should be.

The winter wind is coming. It’s the first winter for us in Singapore. Hope that it will bring lots of happiness, joy, laughter and encourage me to do more work at the same time. Hahaha!

First time I heard the name of this Indonesean band was when I browsed Cds at 'Woods in the book', the picture book shop on Club St.

From my latest trip back to my hometown, I just found out that the band's quite famous in Thailand (poor me). One of the reason is that their song "I remember" was used as a soundtrack for DTAC Advertisement. How could I missed this lovely band for so long? She has a super-duper beautiful voice I'm dying to have one hahaha... :-)

After having talked to many foreigners, I found that most of them love Thai food. Hah! I’m so proud of this fact (hope that they did not make those nice statements just to please me).

When I asked them about their favorite menu; the most frequent answer is ‘Pad Thai’ which seems to be the bona fide symbol of Thai food from their point of view (may be because of the name, how can Pad Thai be Vietnamese?).

But guess what! Pad Thai is not included in our home cooking menu!! Some Thais eat it only just once a year. Like me, I have Pad Thai only few times a year or less than that. Some of you may even have it more often than me. One of the reasons is that proper Pad Thai has so many ingredients, so much so that it is not worth cooking the dish at home. Also, it is very hard to find restaurants that cook it well, even in Thailand.

Because of the distance or limited ingredients, Pad Thai that you find in most restaurants tends to look quite different from the original. Authentic Pad Thai must be cooked with love from a very specific type of soft and silky rice noodle called “Sen Chan”, medium-sized prawn, bean sprouts, spring onions, grounded peanuts, eggs, and flavoured with tamarind juice, prawn’s roe, palm sugar, and good quality fish sauce. Everything gets wok-fried on very charcoal-fired stove for that special smoky taste. On the side – for that final touch, you must have Pad Thai with young banana flower and a good squeeze of fresh lime. Ummmm……

If your mouth is now watering, plus you got a chance to go Thailand in the near future. Just copy the text below, print out and show it to taxi. Then enjoy proper Pad Thai at “Lung Pha”(uncle Pha) restaurant. Which I can say that it’s one of the best ones in Bangkok. (it’s within walking distance from the government house and the Royal Palace)

Beware of falling durians!!

I just love this sign and found it while trekking in 'park connector' around Bukit Timah. I think it's very unique and truly Singapore since Singaporean are very fond of eating durian in any kind; fresh, stuffed in pancake, cake, moji, crepe etc. just name it, they eat it all.

Trekking in Singapore, you can collect the fallen durian if you wanted to. It's edible, dont'worry. There're many durian trees in the forest as the sign indicated to be aware.
I found this while trekking in Paula Ubin on the way up. When I came down, all durian were gone. Left alone the bicycle.

Most of durian sold in Singapore are from Malaysia. One of my friend (whose her best friend is Singaporean) said Malay Durian is the most yummiest of all. May be true...but I'm just too scare to try. Why?

If there's durian stall within 100 metre, you just know it because the sweet strong aroma will head kick your nose. Problem is...they eat it tooooo ripe. Too soft for Thai people like me. It just stick every single finger when you pick up. I found it yuck to eat like that, just thinking about it makes me shudder(sorry if it's your favourite fruit, but this is just my point of view as Thais okay?) Thais eat fresh while it's a bit hard, a bit soft. Some bakery shop started to produce it in their cake(which is not widely popular). One day i'll brave enough to try, hope that it's as sweet as it's aroma. 8:-)

The cute and cool wedding bouquet

I started selling buttons and craft stuff on etsy many months ago. The reason is I'm so in love with those tiny buttons especially the colorful plastic vintage style. Some of my friends said I'm crazy. He asked me who's gonna buy buttons from internet? (FYI in Thailand, buying and selling things on internet is not as popular as in US or other countries.)

I must say that it doens't make a big chuck of profit. It's not a big business which has order everyday. But I'm happy with it and I do believe that each style of button waiting for their soulmate. 8:-)

This morning I just got email and photos(in this post) from my latest customer. She said she used buttons from my shop created her own 'Wedding Bouquet!!!' What a creative and smart girl! The only thing I can say is I'm so admired her. And soooo happy that buttons from my shop take part on one of the most happiest day in her life...the wedding day!...the beautiful start of the new life!

Never knew that selling buttons on etsy can makes me feel soo happy.
I'll definitely have a sweet dream tonight. 8:-D

PS. Not every buttons in the bouquet are from my shop. That doesn't matter because it's such a cool and cute bouquet, don't you think?

Treasure box from Keetee

I hate deadline, everybody does. - -"
After stuck in front of the computer all day, 5 days in a roll and there're lots more to go. The postman'd sent 2 packages that lighten my boring, flood with load of works day.

One is the masking tape which I'd ordered from etsy...the "Kitty stamps" on the envelop are so cute! I'm thinking about post all my packages with stamps from now on. Old way, lovely way. :)

Another one is from Keetee. I love receiving things from Keetee even I'd already know what's in the box. Keetee wrap all the packages nice-lovely-kitsch way. Sometimes she put surprise gift that she's happy to share which always put a smile on my face. She's also a good selector...prove it yourself by visiting her online shop "KeeteeGarden."

My first strawberry tart!

Congratulations to myself!

After failed of making pastry dough last year because of the hot-humid weather in Thailand that makes butter melt sooner than expected. The result is I couldn't rolled the pastry even had thrown it in the fridge for almost an hour. Okay...I admitted that another reason is my lack of experience in baking but it's not the main reason, isn't it. Blame it on weather! 5555 :)

I come back again with the new and easy recipe which is adapted from 'Strawberry milk tart' picked from dailydelicious. Trust me that it's sooooo easy...I just put all ingredients together in the container with lid and shake it for 30 times....here comes the perfect pastry dough within less than 5 mins preparing time. Even my version is a bit different from the original but I quite proud of myself though.

Morrocan mint tea

Lately our favourite dessert is 'Chocolate Conitreau' at 'Crepe&Co', Thonglor Soi 8. The crepe with orange flavoured ice cream filling and rich chocolate sauce topping which is then flambe with Cointreau liquor is oh...sooooo fantastic to have after dinner. We went there almost every week. :)

Further than 'French apple cider', (James, who's british didn't believe that there's any apple cider produced in France) I found that 'Moroccan mint tea' is the best beverage to go with the crepe. The strong mint aroma combine with the sweetness of the tea is perfect combination to make it the most refreshing drink.

So this afternoon I made one, using mint that I'd planted in the pot on the balcony together with tea from Taiwan...even it's not served in a tradition Moroccan glass but still sooooo refreshing...and soooo good for the sleepy afternoon :)

Green Tea tempura Ice Cream

There're people who created 'fried ice cream' in Thailand but I've never ate tempura ice cream in my life. So even we're quite full, we'd ordered this dessert menu to satisfy our curiousity.

Things that we not expected always turn out good because this tempura ice cream is quite yummy. Inside is the green tea ice cream(or vanilla), still hold in one piece. Outside is crispy tempura which is not soaked in tons of oil as expected. The mint that put for decoration is lovely and make it looks a bit like apple :)

'Gong Xi Fa Cai!!
...Happy Chinese New Year!!' :)

So glad that the day I start to write this blog is the day that Chinese people all around the world're celebrating this happy moment with their family and love ones...it's also a valentine's day. Love is in the air...

After seeing many pictures that my blog friend - Rose - had e-mailed to us from Chiang Mai(a lovely province in the northern part of Thailand) where she visited last week. I texted her how yummy those strawberries look (the ones in the pictures) and wished her a great time with family there knowing that she was looking forward to go to Doi Inthanont(famous mountain in Chiangmai) for sometimes already.

She texted me today at 4 pm saying that she'll be at Bangkok around 6 pm and then will head to Phuket but she's got something for me. Since I wasn't home, so I asked her to leave whatever it is with the building's security guard. We usually send little things to each other whenever we have the chance as she live in China most of the time. Giving can make us feel as happy as receiving don't you think :)

As I went back home at around 9 pm, the building's security guard gave us a parcel wrapped with newspaper. I unwrapped and there it is!!! the box of yummy strawberries that looked exactly like the one I'd seen in the pictures that she sent via e-mail. It tasted so sweet which is rare for Thai strawberries.

I called to say thank you. Actually I wanted say some words that can express my feeling more than just thank you. I knew from our conversation that she loved it very much and think that I'll love it too so she made lots of effort to buy the strawberries, carry the box to Bangkok and hired Motobike Taxi to deliver the box to my home (By the way, it's so sad to hear that Motobike Taxi experience in Thailand is the second most scary experience in the world ranked by the Lonely planet...the truth is... it's not THAT scary...trust me :-p ).

Receieving things unexpectedly can make us feel very happy. No matter how big or how small the gifts, ultimately, it is the intention that counts.
Those strawberries is something under the ribbon that makes my Chinese New Year / Valentine's day a perfect day :-)
